U14 Div2 – Crosshaven 5 Corkbeg 3
A great morning for a game in Camden this morning, but unfortunately not a great result against a good home side.
The Beg had the better of the early exchanges and were unlucky not to take the lead, but it was Crosshaven who opened the scoring. We pulled level after Alex Jaworski neatly finished to the bottom corner, but conceded again almost immediately and the home side now started to push on and extended it out to 3-1.
To our lads credit, they kept going and narrowed the gap back to one, when Alex J struck his 2nd. We were under pressure and Crosshaven restored a 2 goal cushion again to make it 4-2.
But, again the lads rallied and Conor Padden (pictured) struck our third and we thought we might nick a point. But it was not to be as Crosshaven hit their 5th goal and took the points. Great effort from all 15 lads.

U12Div4 – Carrigaline 0 Corkbeg 3
Two goals for “Man Of The Match” Chaoilfhionn O Connell and another for Bobby O Riordan gave Corkbeg a fine 3-0 win at Ballea Park on Saturday.
The back 3 of Mason, Finn and Devan were all excellent. Killian and Alex in the middle worked very hard throughout. Dan, Oisin ,Leon, Luke were all excellent.
But, it wasn’t all plain sailing for the Beg, as Alek made 3 excellent saves in goal to keep his clean sheet intact

Corkbeg ‘A’ U15 team played against a well organised Youghal Utd team in a challenge match in sunny Whitegate on Saturday afternoon. These teams have faced each other quite a lot in recent years , with very little between them on each occasion.
The teams were level at half time after a very tight first half.
David Kelly and Aidan O’Brien stepped up with a goal each in the second half to give Corkbeg the win.

Hugh O’Hanlon had a well deserved clean sheet today and was alert to the Youghal Utd threats on every occasion. Outstanding performances today from AJ O’Driscoll , Caelum Evans and Harry Somerville at the back, while Aidan O’Brien and Lukas Smith and David Kelly were a contstant threat going forward.
Jack Hughes and Luke Kelleher worked hard up front today , and came close on a few occasions. The scoreline finished 2-0.
Thanks to Michael and the Youghal Utd lads for making the trip to Whitegate.
