A tough morning for our U15 Girls team in Whitegate on Saturday morning, as they came up against a very strong & more experienced Youghal team in their first competitive league game.
In fairness to them, they showed plenty of heart on a difficult morning and no doubt the experience will stand to them going forward in their first competitive league season.
A special mention for Emily O Callaghan, Susanna Santos – O Sullivan & Jenna Conroy, who were outstanding and Claragh Reardon, who fired in Corkbegs first ever competitive goal at this level.

The away team flew out of the traps with a blistering first half display that saw them take a 4-0 half time lead. Kayla Forde (2) and Lauren Conroy (2) with the goals for Corkbeg.

Lakewood came back in the second half with a goal, in what was a very tight affair – even though the score line suggests otherwise.
Well done to both teams on a great game of football. Soleil O Hara in goal, kept Corkbeg in the game in the second half with a brilliant display, and both Fia Devoy and Grace O Sullivan were outstanding for Corkbeg. Well done girls.
